1840/54c.: The magnificent collection of 'An canibi-i-posta' negative seals from all over the Ottoman Empire; Bulgaria with Tartar Post form showing Varna and Shumnu strikes, entire letter with beautiful strike of "Tirnovo" in black and another with fine Ruscuk in blue; Tartar Post form with strikes of Filbe in blue and Iskodra (Albania) in black, Filibe and Monastir, Filibe and Plovdiv, Ruscuk, Sofia and Varna on tartar forms, covers (2) with excellent "Zagra-i-atik" strikes in blue, superb Vidin strikes in blue (both signed Nakri); Greece with superb Larissa on large part form, Janina in blue on entire letter, Kavala on tartar form, Serres on form and on superb entire, Selanik and Larissa on form; Macedonia with Yenisehir Fener and Monastir on form, entire from Bitola with Monastir superb strike (Isfila cert.), part form with fine Nis strike; Turkey with strikes of Konya (2) on covers, Adana in green on entire, Ankara in blue on entire, Bursa in blue and in black on entires, Deraliye (7) in blue and in blue-green in differing types, Edirne (2) and forms with strikes of Deraliye Harput, Iskodra and Mosul. An excellent collection with literature (CD with Birken book and the book itself, and Nicolas/Galinos Foreign P.O.'s in Greece).
